Anita LewtonAnita Lewton Screenwriter, Producer is the MD and founder of Corazon Films UK where she is developing several feature projects. She is also one of the original course facilitators involved in setting up the Imaginox Academy of Creative Arts, originally a global training platform for the Creative Industries online and now also an umbrella organization offering a ‘menu’ of various exciting courses with award winning providers  (, BBC Innovation award Runner Up 2011-12. Prior to that Anita was an elected Co Chair of the New Producers Alliance board of directors from 2006-10, where she devised and facilitated dozens of filmmaker training initiatives and ran film events with partners including : UKFC, Regional Screen Agencies, Scottish Screen, EIFF, East End film festival etc.

Trained in acting and later directing from an early age (London University Diploma Dramatic Art - Dist, and MA Film and TV Arts, UCLA) Anita has lived and worked in Los Angeles, France and the UK. She has written for BBC 2 and C4 Dogme TV and Orange France, and has Produced on various shorts, films and doc features with E2 Projects, Conroy Park Int’l and  Ennorbal Prods.

Anita is a world cinema specialist, teaching global cinema across institutions UK wide and was selected to attend a British Council Middle East Women at Work summit in Tunisia 2009, where she participated in a Development programme for new screenplays from 24 women from across the Middle East region.

As well as producing Anita continues to train & mentor producers internationally in development, raising finance, sales and distribution and online platform marketing (with Accidental Media- founders of Distrify).

She is developing various international co productions: her own script set in Paris and Algeria which was selected for The Bureau‘s Media funded Screenwriters programme ‘SOS’, 2011 edition; a UK feature project with an up and coming regional female writer & a WWII romantic tragedy set in Africa and Germany with German and Ethiopian co produces. The German co-producer was heavily involved in the highly successful partially crowd funded feature Iron Sky (Finnish / Ger co production) and has helped enormously with its profile globally on facebook etc.
